When we visited the children at Cafe 151 we quickly learnt about the relevance of the "rubbish dump".We were intriged and decided to take a look. We were told that a lot of the kids at the school spent the first few years of their lives on the dump having been born there.
This was probably the most shocking thing that I saw during the whole of the trip. It was unbelievable that these poor people had to live like this. Not only did they work up here, they lived on top of this pile of rotten sticking rubbish in the most appauling conditions.
The smell was too much. After about half an hour we had to leave. We both felt unwell for the rest of the day.
